A Fallen Book

Today, I’m sad.

My book deal fell through.

That’s hard.

Yet, God is still good.

  1. So sorry, Tracey. I know that particular sting, but I also know that these closed doors we press are tear-streaked faces against are not the doors our God, the One who loves us to His death–thank God He rose again!–He has our books and our lives in His capable hands. And He will open a new door that isn’t wishy washy, or tenuous, or anything that will do us more harm later. I’ve trusted Him in this strange path of publication, and even when it seemed like He let me down, I’d find later He was always working for my highest Good.He loves you. Hang in there. And get yourself some chocolate and a friend who’s shoulder you can cry on.Feel free to write if you want to lament.claudia.mair.burney@gmail.com
